used it for the intended purpose? He could have weighed it before and gotten a VERY close idea of how much he would have yielded from melting it all without actually melting it.
The great thing about a forge is you can put USED aluminum into it and melt it to RE-use it for something new.
He essentially just took a manufactured product new off the shelf with a million good uses (foil) and melted it back to what the manufacturer started with (raw aluminum). What a complete waste to learn zero new information.
Foil can be used in cooking, crafting, building, man a million different uses.
