The color-coated coils are aluminum coils that are colored with fluorocarbon coating or polyester color coating. These are colored with PVDF/FEVE paint which is acquired from reputed paint manufacturers. To name a few, PPG, Spectrum, and NIPPON.
The colors are stain-resistant and scratch resistance. To ensure the paint lasts long, 2-3 coating is done and then baked at high temperature. The paint is cured to generate 25-30 micron thickness over the cold coils.
When it comes to what makes Viva’s color-coated aluminum coils better than their competitors, then the answer is quality. At Viva accelerated weather meter test is conducted to check weather resistance, while salt and spray testing is conducted to check the warranty of the paint.

Here are some technical facts about Aluminium Composite Panels-
With time, the composition of aluminium composite panels has changed to better fit the needs of modern architecture. The overall thickness of the panels used is between 3-6 mm(0.12-0.24in.). Whereas the width of the aluminium coil ranges between 0.2-0.8 mm.
The core may belong to any of the three general categories:
1. PE cores – these cores are made of 100% polyethylene (PE) and are flammable.
2. FR cores – these cores are made up of a composite material containing 70%-90% of mineral wool/rock fibre/rock wool, which are non-combustible and act as a fire retardant.
3. Aluminium core – these are either made of the aluminium honeycomb structure or solid aluminium.
Different paints and coatings on ACPs are also developed:
1. PE/FR Constructional/Architectural Panel sheets coated with PVDF resin, (XT/ High Durable) polyester paint.
2. Panel sheets coated with Nano PVDF
3. Digital Printing/Signage Panel sheets coated with FEVE resin or high-quality polyester.
Due to the modifications in the core and panel quality, the use of ACPs today can be found in various projects and spaces - Internal Partitions, Building Renovations, Curved Fascia's, Container Constructions, Internal Wall Coverings, Architectural Claddings, Machine Coverings and many more.
