Aluminum tread plate is available in 3003 with the typical H22/24 temper where welding is readily accomplished. For the highest strength applications, Tread plate is stocked in 6061, frequently heat treated and aged to T6 temper.

Alloy composition
6043 alloy is a Al-Mg-Si-Cu-Bi-Sn alloy, which is a deformed aluminum alloy opened in the international organization. The alloy was registered in 2006. It is the international registration organization. The first alloy registered in China since 1954 was founded in 1954. It is the only deformation aluminum alloy registered by China in 1919 for the production of small aluminum pieces for 87 years. It is also a green, high-speed cutting aluminum alloy. Usually, all of the deformed aluminum alloys with high speed cutting contain low melting point alloy elements such as Bi, Pb, Sn and so on. Such as 6018, 6023, 6028, 6040, 6041, 6042, 6262A, 6064, 6064A, 6068 alloy and so on.
The melting point of low melting point metal: 327.4 centigrade of Pb, 231.9 C of Sn, 271 C of Bi, 320.9 C of Cd. But Cd and Pb are hazardous to human health, to the environment, should not be used, so that Aluminum Alloy containing Pb for cutting will gradually be less or not were eliminated, replaced by the alloy containing Bi and Sn or other alloy, 6043 alloy under this background and the application of green alloy.

Basic performance
The density of 2710kg/m3 6043 alloy is widely used in extrusion pipes and bars, the typical mechanical properties of T9 state materials: tensile strength of Rm=402N/mm2, yield strength Rp0.2=380N/mm2, elongation was A=11%, elastic modulus E=70GN/mm2, shear modulus G=60GN/mm2, Poisson's ratio = 0.33. 6043 alloy has no low temperature brittleness and can be used in the manufacture of cryogenic machine parts.
The liquidus temperature of the 6043 alloy is 652, the solid phase temperature is 582, and the average linear expansion coefficient of the 6043 alloy is 23.4 mu m/ (M. K). At 20 C, the thermal conductivity of T9 state material is 172W/ (M. K), equal volume conductivity 44%IACS, resistivity 39n Omega m, resistance temperature coefficient 0.1N Omega m/k.
The annealing specification of 6043 alloy is 415 C / (2h~3h), and the solid solution temperature is 540 degrees. The manual age specification for rolled bar, cold drawn bar and tensile pipe is 170 /12h / 6h~12h, and the manual age specification for extruded pipe, bar and profile is 176 C. The corrosion resistance of the alloy is high and the surface treatment performance is good.

Heating the metal above its recrystallization temperature helps to prevent major alterations in mechanical properties due to work hardening. Once the material has reached its final shape, it is allowed to cool slowly.
While there are other techniques used to create diamond plate, the rolling method is most common because the only major difference between rolling plate and diamond plate is the roller used. This makes the process very economical, and it is why diamond plate can often be found at relatively affordable prices when compared with a normal plate of the same material and dimensions.
