Which windows are better, uPVC or aluminium?

I went with aluminium windows mainly for their slim frames and modern look, but I did notice they can feel a bit colder around the edges. To make the whole space look more finished, I matched them with some trim from https://mdfskirtingworld.co.uk/skirting-boards/ and that really pulled everything together. The right skirting helps bridge the modern frame with the rest of the room style.
