The atomic weight of Aluminium is 26.9813 but for convenience we take it as 27.
It can also be stated as follows:
The number of neutrons in Al is 14 i.e. n = 14
The number of protons in Al is 13 i.e. p = 13
Thus, Atomic Mass (A) = n + p = 14 + 13 = 27.
