1100 Aluminum Sheet vs Other Series
According to different alloy states, the most common useful 1100 aluminum sheet tempers are H14, H16, H24 and H26.
The difference between H1 and H2: H1 means strain hardened only. The number following H1 means the degree of strain hardening. H2 refers to strain hardened and partially annealed. Similarly, the number following H2 is the degree of strain hardening. And the strength of 1100 aluminum sheet is reduced to the expected number by partially annealing.
1000 series aluminum has excellent corrosion resistance, good electrical and thermal conductivity, lower density, and the strength is relatively lower than other series.
Series 2000 and series 7000 are both aircraft aluminum alloy. They are super hard aluminium alloy and the abrasive resistance is great.
Series 3000 aluminum is aluminium manganese alloy. Its corrosion resistance is best.
Series 4000 aluminum alloy is usually used as mechanical timber, building materials, forging materials, etc.
Series 5000 aluminum alloy own lower density but higher extension and higher elongation.
Series 6000 aluminum alloy is good at workability and machinability and easier to be coated.
