aluminum rods do not take the abuse of revving up and down all the time. Case in point why race cars shut the engine off after a run because the don’t like decell. People on drag week and Rocky Mountain do run them but replace them after. And you have to heat the engine up to operating temp before driving to warm the rod up. Just pain in the ass all around
