Very useful information! I want to give my opinion on this matter. I would not say that I am a fan of sliding doors because they have very serious disadvantages. First of all, it's the opening noise. Secondly, any sliding design leaves a gap that lets in light and air. Thirdly, such doors are much more expensive than conventional doors. That's why I always choose regular oak doors.
